Message that turning diagnoses ive pretty much tried, im gonna take it to a quiet parking lot and do more testing but, i dont knotice a deffinate change, its either both bearings are going (been doing this for over a year) or its my differential, but it sounds like its coming from directly infront of me and down (i move my head to the center of the car and listen at speed). Ya i deff dont have tools to press bearings, ahha i dont even have a vice.. i did my engine swap with a rench set and ramps lol.. someday when i get a real job though...
:faulty bearing by taking turns like interstate ramps at enough speed to shift most of the weight of the car to one side and hold the weight to one side long enough to determine if there is a change in sound. It should get louder if you take a turn that shifts the load to the wheel with the bad bearing. (In other words, turn right to test the left side bearings and turn left to test the right side bearings.)
:When my front driver's side bearing went out (at about the same mileage as yours), it sounded like a roar that slowly, but progressively got worse. I changed out all four tires before I finally diagnosed it as a bearing.
:To replace, the bearings must be pressed in, so unless you have the tools, you'll have to take it to a shop.
